Studied New York showman, Vance Garrett, has been described as “the Ziegfeld below 14th Street.” From playing Radio City Music Hall to directing spectacles at Roseland Ballroom to performing in and literally designing circuses, Vance has participated in live productions from vantage points behind, below, before and above the scenes. He now uses this multidimensional point of view to direct and produce theatrical events and eventful theatre.

Following his professional performance debut alongside then fellow first-timer Jennifer Hudson in Chicago's Big River, he’s been a superhero as the title character in Spider-Man Live!, a swinger on Guiding Light, a disco dancer in Saturday Night Fever, an acrobat with Anti-Gravity, producer and promoter for Candis Cayne, P.R. maestro at Karpel Group (for Kylie Minogue and Tori Amos), director for Saint At Large events and memorably a mixologist at Manhattan’s mega-clubs (like Sound Factory and Crobar). Building atop his Northwestern University theatre and Gus Giordano dance foundation, these endeavors encouraged him to allow his wonder for showmanship to evolve, from entertaining a crowd to inviting audiences to reciprocally participate in the environment. Vance is now most excited about the art of conducting integrative experiences that he has not yet encountered—still applying his penchant for mixology to these fields--drawing from theatre, dance, nightlife, circus, interactive environments, and state-of-the-art spectacle.

He is now orchestrating extravaganzas throughout Gotham and consulting on a big touring tent spectacle…picking up where Ziegfeld left off.
